Just when I thought it was just a boring Friday. No scandals, no catfights, nothing! Boooooring! I was just contemplating on writing some boring techy stuff when I spied some trouble brewing.
So Andrew Peters was miffed that one of his commercial blogs was not allowed on Ping.sg. I thought it was rather smooth of Uzyn to actually write a cordial email to Andrew but Andrew wasn’t pleased.
TNS and TMS soon stepped into the picture offering their thoughts. Taking Andrew’s side of course. TNS and TMS. Sounds similiar? I think so too. Since they were so quick to back up Andrew, do you think they are linked with Andrew? Your guess is as good as mine.
Anyway, here’s Work Whore’s thoughts.
I think there is a big difference between commercial blogs and blogs that do have commercials once in a while. Commercial blogs are all about selling their items or products in every damn entry while blogs that do have commercials once in a while are mostly pure entries with some tainted entries once in a while.
I think what Uzyn did was a right move and him emailing Andrew was really smooth. For once, I’m taking a side and it’s pretty obvious whose side I’m on.
Come on Andrew, back down. If you’re not happy, you can always leave Ping.sg. I’m sure those forums like Cozycot, Flowerpod or even HardwareZone would allow some spamming once in a while.
And I think Uzyn’s blog entry about hiring an intern in Ping.sg is well justified. Yes, it might be commercial in a certain extent, but it’s helping Ping.sg isn’t it?
I’m getting bored of this quarrel now. It’s just one-sided to me. The real question is: Do you think TNS is TMS?
Down with Andrew Peters!
@Darth Vader: Is there something you’re not telling us?
U ARE WRONG I AM DEFENDING MY RIGHT TO PUBLISH FOR WHO EVER WHEN EVER AS WEB 2.0 ALLOWS
WHICH IS WHY I AM UPSET WITH PING.SG AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE
gosh andrew… CHILL!
too bore at ur work huh?
So ping.sg should not have widgeous blog pinging to it because it is considered a commercial entity too.
@aplink: My my, have you jammed your capslock button? Defending versus ranting is different.
@princessa: Well said.
@pingster: Definitely. Work and the lack of eyecandy makes me go mad.
@passerby: Interestingly enough, you share the same IP address as princessa. Are you princessa?
definitely not. just happen to have the same block of ip address issued by the isp. i dont want to name myself because i dont want to get into trouble
Andrew Peters can say what he wants but I support Uzyn!
Slightly off topic, I think the IP is the same because of the ISP Proxy server. Just like when you use rapidshare as long someone else in your ISP is downloading, no one else is able to download.
I prefer to name myself ;x
Passerby=Princessa?
1 thing that is for sure Themediaslut= Aaron Koh from socialpr.blogspot.com
Evidence?

Ops. Themediaslut, you are not very smart.
For what it’s worth, I think Uzyn was right. A blog that focuses on pushing a product or service in almost every entry is just a “splog” and nobody would want to read a splog.
I mean do you turn on the TV to watch the show or to watch the adverts?
@passerby: Thanks for the clarification.
@Darth Vader: I see a strong support for Uzyn here!
@GaMerZ: Ok, thanks for the explanation.
@princessa: That’s great!
@gg: I think it’s been modified. Any screenshots?
@FoxTwo: Definitely! But I guess APLink doesn’t get it.
Hello all. Just to clarify. As the Widgeous blog is primarily maintained by me, let me say a few words.
The Widgeous blog is our casual way of documenting our development process and the various odds and ends in and around Widgeous. There really isn’t a commercial element in our blog posts as they are not meant for that.
Just give Widgeous blog a read and you’ll see we are not selling anything other than our passion in what we do.
Aen
he can just put a link to link back to any of his websites what.. why must he make the(a.k.a his) blog like a commercial blog? the “whole” blog is Ping’s property right..?
